I just wanted to say a huge Thank you - to all the staff at Linthwaite and to you in particular for making our wedding day so special. I appreciate that it wasn't a big wedding to arrange but it was lovely that it was so well organised, we knew exactly what was happening and didn't have to think at all "what to do next" - it's amazing that on occasions like this your "brain power" completely deserts you! All of the staff (and the registrars) were lovely and even thou we only met you briefly we felt quite at home. Have to confess that I was a little worried about not having family around to escort me into the ceremony room and as witnesses, but felt completely comfortable with this on the day - we really appreciated that you were all so genuinely pleased for us. We had a great time with Thomas and the photos - and were so lucky with the weather! It was wonderful to be able to relax in the sunshine afterwards. I'm going on a bit here so will finish off, but the whole week was just perfect - only wish we could do it all again! - we have come away with heaps of happy memories. We'd just like to say a very big thank you to you and all the staff for our wonderful wedding day. We had an amazing day that we will remember and cherish forever. Everything from the initial enquiry with Kate, right through the day itself to the moment we left was perfect, and all of the staff are a great credit to the hotel.  The Loft Suite was such a fabulous room to get ready in for the wedding - beautiful decoration, light and airy and most importantly, plently of room for myself, bridesmaids, mum, photographers, make-up and hair ladies ....! So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the view and the hotel's setting is and also what a lovely atmosphere there was at Linthwaite. It really did feel like our home from home for the two days we were staying. The food was also exquisite during our whole stay. The evening meal the night before the wedding was beautiful and the wedding breakfast itself was amazing too. Again many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the food and how tasty it was. One of our guests said it was the best meal he'd ever had anywhere! Please will you pass on our thanks to Richard Kearsley and his team. Kate Thomas is worth her weight in gold! She was so organised and helpful, right from the initial enquiry and all through the planning process. She also provided lots of suggestions and it was great to have her there to bounce ideas off or just to confirm things with. You'd have thought she didn't have any other clients because her service was always so personal. I know I couldn't have done it all without her! Please pass on our thanks to Craig Routledge who did a fabulous job of co-ordinating our day. He was always there to make sure things ran smoothly, and did a great job of rounding up various stray members of our families for the important moments like cutting the cake. He was discreet but also made us feel very reassured and we didn't have to worry about anything during the whole day. We also appreciated how accommodating the hotel was with us making the day our own. All the little details combined to really tailor the day to suit us. Many venues don't allow this, so it just confirms for us that we made the right choice in selecting Linthwaite for our special day. It would be easy to take for granted how smoothly and to plan the wedding day ran - we very much appreciate all the efforts of Kate, Craig and all the staff who played a part in our day, for making it so perfect and so memorable. We were married at the hotel in December and I really don’t know where to start with this letter of thanks. I have been a flight attendant for 11 years and have been fortunate to travel the world and stay in amazing hotels and because of this, I feel qualified to be able to comment on hotel standards. The Linthwaite blew me away fro so many reasons. The breathtaking scenery is always a plus point of course but the hotel itself is a delight. I just love the tasteful décor and the new bar area is stylish and calming and reminds me of an upmarket New York cocktail lounge. I stayed at the Linthwaite earlier in the year and enjoyed the calming colour schemes in the bedroom and the relaxing atmosphere in the lounge area during the evening. One of my favourite experiences of the Linthwaite is the restaurant. Your head chef is a credit to you; his food is exquisite and beautifully presented, in my opinion as good as any Michelin star restaurant in London. Our wedding breakfast menu was absolutely perfect and we had so many compliments from our extremely impressed guests. The thing that impressed me the most is the staff, the restaurant staff were all fantastic, so friendly and welcoming and the really couldn’t do enough to help us and our guests. The same is to be said of the reception team, so helpful and friendly, they really are amazing. Jane is the duty manager I have dealt with most during my wedding planning and the actual wedding day. When it came to the day of my wedding, I already felt Jane was a family friend as I had built up a real rapport with her during the months leading up to it. She has such a warm personality and she really cares about making people feel comfortable and happy, nothing was too much trouble for her and her calmness made me feel relaxed and at ease which was so important. My biggest thanks goes to Kate who has been an absolute pleasure to work with and who made our wedding day the most special and amazing day of our lives. We planned the day together over a period of 18 months and Kate made me feel like I was the only person ever to have had a wedding at the Linthwaite. Her organisation skills are totally unbelievable; she made everything easy for us and made something that is notoriously stressful into something that was actually really fun. I am really going to miss our regular email exchanges because she is such a lovely person and we have grown very fond of her. She is amazing and an absolute credit to the Linthwaite team. I really can’t than you enough for the wonderful experiences we have had. The Linthwaite will always be somewhere dear to us and we will be regular guest over the coming years and we will especially look forward to returning for our first anniversary next year. - December 2009

What more could we ask?! We wanted to send this letter of thanks to you and all the staff at Linthwaite House Hotel for creating a truly perfect wedding day for us. We cannot thank every member of staff enough for their efforts throughout the whole of our wedding day. Our expectations were completely surpassed in every way by the sheer dedication and commitment of the staff to ensure that every single one of our guests enjoyed an absolutely wonderful day. During the planning of the wedding, Kate has been unbelievably supportive. Every little detail of the wedding plan was adhered to and Kate consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to help us in any way she could and most definitely added to our special day. Our highest regards must also be extended to Richard, the chef, as the food was absolutely exceptional. From the canapés, to the wedding breakfast and the buffet, right through to breakfast the following day, the quality was unwavering of the highest quality. One of our guests commented that it was "one of the best meals he had ever eaten". Considering that he used to work in the industry, this is a huge compliment. Our special thanks must also be extended to the managers on the day; Jayne, Mary and Sarah. Their wealth of skill and knowledge all lead to the day running smoothly without a single glitch. We would also like to thank every single member of staff from the front of house team, the kitchen staff and housekeeping. We wish we knew all of their names to thank them personally as they all deserve a personal mention. You will be delighted to hear that the comments from our guests have been nothing but excellent regarding all aspects of both the venue and the staff. Many of our guests travelled from various parts of the country and have since said that when they return to the Lake District that they would love to revisit Linthwaite House Hotel. Personally we cannot wait to visit everybody again as obviously Linthwaite House will always be a special place for us.
