The team at Linthwaite
There is no hotel without its staff. We employ 43 wonderful people who make it all happen. People often ask whether we have lots of European members of staff. Well most of our staff are British but we have a smattering of excellent staff from elsewhere.
Many faces remain the same. Sally who many of you will know has been in reception for 5 years. Behind the scenes, John, our kitchen porter, and one of the Lowry family, is still here after over 14 years. Margaret, our demonic Housekeeper, is still flying around furiously cleaning everything in sight: she started with us in 2002, and Elaine helps her, not far behind, from 2003, and of course Colin the gardener is still happy to give out gardening tips after 19 years at Linthwaite. Other long standing members of staff include Kate our wedding coordinator who started with us in 2006.
One new member of staff is John handy. He took over the maintenance responsibilities last year leaving Colin out in the cold. He's rebuilt the outside of the Conservatory, which was 20 years old last year, and has performed myriad duties on all sorts of things from complete room re-decoration to, through plumbing, electrical and especially carpentry jobs. He is also a member of Kendal Photography Society and we will be using some of his landscapes in promotions this year.
Also, returning to the fold after an absence of nearly 9 years, is Zoe Cooke. Zoe worked here for nearly 2 years in 2002 as a receptionist and has come back to Linthwaite in the role of Reservations & Revenue Manager. Some people just can't keep away!
It is amazing what talents you find when you ask people.

What our Guests say
"Everything about the suite is luxury. My husband enjoyed fiddling with all the gadgets. The bath was heaven after a day of walking." - LS, High Burton, June 09
